If you have read my previous entry about my "Grocery shopping" marathon, you know what a challenge this is for me! Most trips I find myself racing against the clock and Nicky throwing out more items from my cart than I can put in.
While at the market the other day and with ONLY 10 minutes to spare, I had hoped I could zip in and out of the lanes like a NASCAR driver.... DESPERATELY trying to reach my finish line QUICK. My last stop was in the produce department (Nicky wants to sample each and every fruit), It was in this final stop, I noticed a man running a series of tests on cantaloupe. No joke, he scratched, sniffed, shook it, etc. I mean, for real... the only thing left was for him to take a bite out of it, then drop it to the ground and see if it would bounce back - it was a great laugh!
I'm wondering how Nicky processed all of this - haa!!! I sure know how I did! It reminded me of the quote that goes something like "Life is too short, take time to smell the roses" Well, I know I need to make MORE time for such, but how can I fit in the cantaloupe!?
