The Randy Jackson "collection" What the ........

Miraculous news friends!!!! I'm not going blind, not suffering from "Retinal detachment" "optic nerve disorder" or "cataracts" As a matter of fact, I'm just getting old, my eyes are weak and needed contacts / eyeglasses for distance! 


I did have a prescription years ago....I just stopped wearing glasses one day (five years ago), when they broke and when my re-order for contacts *I wanted to be cute and try green eyes   came in the wrong color - *cough, cough - What's not to love about Hulk green??






I had turned a blind eye (haa, couldn't resist), to my failing eyesight - night driving has been the worst for me lately.









 Thanks to my recent drivers licences renewal (omg my new photo is despicable! I actually liked my previous photo on my I.D), My eyes were opened (again, another pun), to the urgent need for a eye exam. When the clerk asked me to place my forehead and eyes into the scope thing and then to read the top line, I replied "What line" haaa!!





"Eye" didn't wanna just go to anyone -  was certain a specialist was the only option! OMG do "eye" need surgery?? Do I visit a ophthalmologist or an optometrist - did ya know there was a difference? Geeeze!!!


I decided the best option for me was to start with the optometrist and learn their opinion if I needed to see the ophthalmologist. Thankfully the visit didn't end with any bad news like Retinal detachment" "optic nerve disorder"  "cataracts" or blindness! - Winning!!!


The idea of having to deal with contacts is not something I want to think about - I don't do well with the pulling of the eyelids while trying to place synthetic materials into my eye! The solutions, cleaning, storage - grrrrrr!!! Not to mention the dry eyes all day or giving the impression I may be suffering from Tourette's (Check out the previous blog I wrote about this by clicking the link "Tourette's)





Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for the advancements in medicine that enable us to have better sight with contacts :) "EYE" just don't want to be one that has to use them - haa


With that being said, I was hopeful to score a cute set of eyeglasses that would be a perfect fit for me! EPIC FAILURE!!!!!! 
1) I'm too young to wear glasses for the rest of my life
2) I don't like the mark glasses create on the nose
3) I don't like HOW I LOOK IN GLASSES
4) How long before I add a necklace string thing?


The list could go on and on :( I will add that the BIGGEST reason why I left without eyeglasses may seem silly to you, but to me IT IS A BIG ISSUE!! I have a serious problem with celebrity endorsed / sponsored glasses!!!!!! I was amazed to learn that "Beyonce" "Kimora Lee Simmons" "Baby Phat" among others HAVE THEIR OWN FLIPPIN LINE OF EYE GLASSES!!! NOT SUNGLASSES - EYEGLASSES!!!!!!!!! 


I refuse, did I mention REFUSE to wear anything from the Randy "in it to win in" Jackson Collection! They may look 'tight dawg' , BUT NOT TO ME!!! or ON ME!!!













I've had dry eyes for a week now!
